Not only is laminate flooring versatile but can be an economic alternative to wood or tile. It is called a floating floor system because it is not attached to the subfloor. There are multiple styles from the traditional oak to new exotic wood looks, embossed textures, planks with beveled edges and even squares that imitate tile. Depending on the grade of laminate it can be used from light residential to commercial spaces.
